The Academic Technology department assists faculty, staff, and students in integrating multimedia resources into UIC Law’s educational learning environment. The Academic Technology department supports and enhances faculty teaching, research and curriculum by evaluating new trends in educational technology, providing media support for classes and other events, creating online technology tutorials, and maintaining classroom audio-visual equipment. The Academic Technology department is committed to providing solutions and support for the academic and administrative functions of UIC Law.

* We need a minimum of 24 hours advance notice to record an event or class.* On weekdays, recordings will be generally available in your instructor folder in Panopto 24 hours after class ends. On Friday nights and weekends, recordings will be generally available no later than the following Monday. Contact jmlsmediaservices@jmls.edu for further information.

Law School Recording Policy The following is the Law School policy regarding audio and video recordings for class and non-class events, conferences, and symposia at the UIC Law. All requests for tapings must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of the event. Any requests submitted fewer than 24 hours in advance of the event cannot be guaranteed.

Guest Lecturer(s) Consent Form Policy Illinois law requires a signed speaker consent form whenever we record a lecture (via audio or video) given by any person who is unaffiliated with UIC Law. This applies to every recording made in the Law School. Please provide a signed copy of this consent form to the Academic Technology Department in advance of the recording. The Law School’s current speaker consent form is available below.
